R9 was brilliant but overrated in comparison to how most people talk about him . They say he had the speed of Henry , the dribbling of Messi , the finishing of Cristiano – he doesn’t have any of them attributes in reality
I appreciate the little tips for defending different types of attackers, makes analysis a lot easier.
The 'get tight before he turns' rule landed best for me — the clips where Ronaldo drops into midfield and Lazio have to decide whether to follow him or hand him over showed why defending him was never really a one-man job.
Nesta was playing dirty
now its a direct RED card 2:37
3:16,my favorite word😢😢
The uneven field helped too , hard to keep the ball under control
Bring some Hide Nakata staff. Thanks.
Imagine if that 21 year old Ronaldo Nazario had the speed of David Suazo or Obafemi Martins. That'd be an even worse nightmare for the defenders. And please, next make a video of how to defend against Adriano. Dude in his peak was a tank.
You are my favourite youtube channel right now. Please keep posting!
if you havent done one already we need a 'how do defend against 99 power/strength'
R9 kinda overrated
Nesta and Maldini! When I was playing in my team, it was these two players i watched to learn and gain confidence! ❤
What I find unfortunate as a milan fan is that people simply think nesta became fantastic at milan playing alongside Maldini, which is disrespected. People forget how good he was during his lazio days. Eriksson made him captain at age 22, and won series A defender of the year a record 4 times, and that too four times in a row and cpatsining lazio to scudetto in what was among the craziest scudetto campaigns of all time.

2:37 that knee high tackle should've been a straight red, nowadays with VAR it probably would've been
oh yeah this video is gonna do 1m for sure lol
3:30 that whole movement is insane. How can you stop someone this unpredictable
Growing up watching R9 makes me feel as blessed as the generation who got Jimmi Hendrix.
Henry dribbled past Nesta and Cannavaro cleanly in Euro2000 final.
Now show Ronaldo playing them in May 1998 that same year in the UEFA cup final! He tore Lazio apart!
amazing footage.
