Despite what Xavi says Ibra was not as top talent as the core group were
Zlatan delivered well for his first season, but looking back at the actual games now, him and Henry were clearly out of step with the rest of the team. Once the ball got to them, a turnover was more likely than a moment of genius. Although Henry was clearly winding down by then so can't blame him.
Guardiola was the problem, always been 😂
Pep couldn't handle Zlatan. Pep always wants to be the nr. 1 in the club, as müller-wohlfahrt said about the time when he was in Munich.
Pep is too cold. He treats players like disposable tissue.
Its still saddens me Pep was the one that forced Eto'o out and requested that Barca should buy Zlatan and then Eto'o goes on to win the UCL again.
Haaland 1.0
Because he challenged Messi and the golden boy didn't like it
Problem was EGO. He destroyed our national team for over 20 years; lockerroom poison. Just so happens in FCB there were plenty of players better than him so he lashed out.
Could've been a super-sub to use against high pressing teams. Would've worked out perfectly (got a great start at the club after all). NOPE! Ego would never allow it.
Xavi speaks really good English
Ill say this as many times. Pep was bad for barca. I agree, we won with him. But i believe we would have won even more, if pep was not our manager.
He sold yaya, because of his ego and his dictatorship. Same with etoo, same with zlatan. I still think Laporte should have chosen mourinho instead of pep. Because at the time. They were both candidates for the job. Mourinho was a traslator at barca. Pep is overrated
He just wasn't a good fit for Guardiola's system
Zlatan was victim of the system. Real Madrid would be a perfect match for him.
If zlatan had continued with Barca, Suarez and Neymar wouldn't have gotten chance to shine
Ai slop
Our coach 😁💪.
Pep struggles to manage players with strong character. Puyol definitely had character, but the majority of them do not survive under him.
Xavi will do well in the premier league
He loves the cespet
I can imagine it's a real quote, but these days you can't be sure just because it's on a screen.
I think that the real reason was that there wasn't room for both Zlatan & Messi in the same team!
The truth is Zlatan was told to sacrifice his game and play out of position for Lionel Messi to which he refused. So he was told to leave, just like neymar and Alex sanchez
I can't trust in what he says anymore. After he coached Barça, now Xavi seems to me that he is always shady in his words, almost fake, untrustworthy.
That time in Barcelona loosing the ball was a very big crime
Xavi sounds like a mafia boss 😅
❤
Long story cut short pep just didn't like Zlatan
He was à back up in juve ànd in Inter he wasn’t no star either
Zlatan is the player that everyone wants on their team, but nobody can keep and unless you were a PSG fan
Everyone like Zlatan jokes.😊
turned out best it could tho, pep proved it by almost winning the treble again the season zlatan left
He was crazy 😂😂
éslatan 😂 😂 😂
still doesn't explain shit
We know why Pep wanted to make messi the false 9 instead of playing Zlatan at the time this was before they went out and got Villa
Amazing video
Didn't know Xavi spoke such good English. Another manager who actually knows what he's doing snubbed by Man Utd.
It's funny isn't it Zlatan better footballer than Haaland but Pep perhaps wasn't ready for Zlatan. Ten years later I think he'd have loved to have him.
It’s not that complicated. Zlatan was an elite individual and physical talent, but his decision making sometimes wasn’t in line with what Pep was trying to achieve.
Pep liked to keep the ball most of the time, and he needed players who prioritized that type of play. Can’t blame him, seeing how in 2011 he assembled arguably the greatest team ever.
Pep could have probably been better at communicating with Zlatan.
